Blessings...

Knives 033
I am so very grateful today for the blessing of a new baby in our family. Easton has truly blessed our lives. This past week has been a whirlwind of diapers, hugs and kisses, pacing, rocking, and so much delight. So many of you have reached out with your congratulations...thank you all. Now I am off to get more snuggling in.

I truly have the best friends...Celeste is an amazing person and so very talented. My heart is full and I wanted to thank her for the blessing of being her friend. She graciously posted on her blog about the cupcake I made her for her birthday...it was so fun to create and if you didn't know it, she is the "Queen of Cupcakes". If you stop by her blog, you will always be inspired and delighted...she also has a darling freebie Quick Page, so check it out! Heart you Celeste!

(Celeste took the above photos...see, she is amazing at photography too!)

Lost Paws...

Me_and_hinckley
This is "Hinckley". He is about 5 months old, a sheltie, and we adopted him a couple of weeks ago. He is definitely a puppy and that takes it toll on everything...shoes, clothes, furniture, carpet (everywhere). But we love his little face and he is about the sweetest little dog I have ever met. He won't get much bigger and loves attention. If you are thinking about getting a pet, Lost Paws is a great way to do it. Hinckley was up for the shelter next, so it will be great to have him alive and playing with us for the next ??? years. Just look at that little face!

What a HOOT!

Little_owl

This is my first attempt at paper clay. I loved working with it and really think it turned out sooo cute. Our "poker night" gang all got together Thursday night and we made owls and crows for Halloween. Now I just want to play and play and play with my clay!!

Fun decorating idea

Gourds_2
Have you seen the lovely Martha glitters...oh my! I just used a glue pen and drew directly onto the gourd then sprinkled the glitter on. I hope you make some to plop around the house for some easy decorating glam.

Note Pocket Freebie

Pocket_2
This is a fun little pocket to hold post-it's, scrap note paper, a tiny gift. To make it, you will need a 6" square of heavier paper (I used vintage wallpaper for mine). Fold as shown on the template.

Pocket_diagram_copy_2

Embellish with vintage text book paper, old button, mini tag, etc. It can be hung or you can hot-glue a magnet on the back and hang on your refrigerator.
Book_3
To make the tiny booklet for note taking, cut out 2" x 5.5" pieces from vintage text book paper, fold in half and tie around the middle with a string.
Happy Halloween Blog Party...now visit Debbie's blog and Celeste's blog for more ideas!
